Here a just some of the reviews for Writers Revenge
***** A fun and engaging novel that charts life in the publishing world, with a very varied cast of characters who are all easy to connect with, some you like and some you don't. If you've ever wondered what it's like to be an author or to be responsible for publishing a book, then this is a great read. It's one to pass the time curled up on the sofa or having a soak in the bath.

**** A sincere thank you to the publisher, author and Netgalley for providing me an ebook copy of this book in exchange for a fair and honest review. This is not my usual genre, I'm more of a crime/thriller reader however this story intrigued me.
I absolutely loved it, truly one of the best books I have read. I am extremely pleased and grateful to both for opening up my mind to something totally different.

**** While I found the book enjoyable overall, it did take me a while to get into the groove. Having spent plenty of time on both the writing and marketing side of the business world, I had an appreciation for the tension between the 4 writers and their nemesis (the publishing company owner & employees.) Each has their own goals and way to go about making them.
In this novel, though, the publishing company is broken. The owner is more concerned with fattening his personal bank account. And his "wonderful" editor is more focused on her next drink and tearing apart the work of the authors. Given the toxic state of things, when they announce a contest with a cash prize, a group of authors (4 women with very different writing styles) decides to exact revenge.
Plenty of bumps and twists in the road to get to where the greed and hatred of others from the owner and editor come out in the light of day. And, the writers and marketing gal realize they were never the other's enemy. Instead, the editor drove that wedge. By the end of the novel, I was curious to see where this cast of characters would go next.

**** A Cut-throat World.....Life in the world of publishing isn't always what it's cracked up to be for the protagonists in this book - welcome to a world of cut-throat tactics and underhand dealings. Will there ever be a book published? Funny and feisty, an entertaining read.

***** Writers Revenge is a searing indictment not only of how the 'politics' of publishing get in the way of true creativity but also the tension between what the reading public wants and what publishers feel they should want (and authors should write)! The illustrations of 'successful' writing take a honed stiletto to conventionaltaste. This is a biting satire, turning a jaundiced eye on the world of publishing, publishers and authors. It captures the insecurities and fragility of anyone who submits their creative oeuvre to publishers and the public, and particularly any woman who does so. I particularly enjoyed the way the author captures the cadence and tone of speech in Ireland as well as the 'craic' that characterises Irish humour. It'll make you laugh and make you angry - I really liked it.

***** TLDR Summary: A deceptively light celebration of female friendship in the backstabbing world of Irish publishing; 5* for multiple cackles.
Writers Revenge follows the hitherto dormattish Esther, who, though a best selling romance novelist, finds herself living alone in a damp attic in Dublin, aged 38. Something finally has to give when her publisher blocks her chance to hit the big time stateside by sitting on her US publication rights. Antics ensue. This is a cathartic read for anyone with experience of 'scene' politics and machinations. Writers Revenge has definite 90s romcom/Romancing the Stone vibes tempered with acerbic humor (and seriously racy passages, btw). Overall it's an absorbing, escapist read -5* well earned for all the times I cackled out loud reading this book in public.
